How do we know if it's a skin fungus or if it's going away on its own?

Hello,
During the 2nd diaper change of my 2 years and 9 months old son this morning, we realized that he was full of pimples and redness at the level of the scrotum and the groin. But when he woke up he had nothing, so the top came off within 2 hours.

Hello,
Diaper rash can be recognized by red patches, blisters or sores on the skin under the diaper. If the blisters also contain white pus or if you see a scale around the patches, there is a good chance that your baby has a fungal infection.
To prevent fungus from forming on your baby's bottom, it's important to use the right skin care products for sensitive skin. Also, keep the skin dry and leave your baby's bottom bare from time to time. Also, make sure you change your baby's diaper regularly: too much is better than too little. This will also prevent your baby from getting a diaper rash, which can lead to a fungal infection.
Have a nice day!

Thank you, this morning we realized that he also had buttons on his hands and in his mouth. I conclude that he has, once again, the foot-hand-mouth.
