Hello,
I would like to know if flaxseed is recommended for irritable bowel, since I am always constipated, is it good to take every morning ,,, a spoonful of ground flaxseed with some chia , in a juice..................
And if I eat bread , with multigrain , and if there is unground flaxseed , is it to be avoided if it is not ground , is it hard on the intestines..................
I have tried probiotics , but it seems to make me feel sick ,,,, so I try to eat yogurt instead, can it be , and are probiotics really good for irritable bowel ......
Thank you very much and have a great holiday season .......................................

Hello Mrs.,
Your question is more for a dietician regarding the use of flax and chia seeds in your situation.
For my part, I can confirm that the use of probiotics is often linked to an improvement of symptoms in people suffering from irritable bowel. In your situation, when constipation is predominant, an interesting product is Align (https://amzn.to/2R4uWSq). It is available in capsule form, which may help reduce your heartache.
Studies on its use in irritable bowel have shown improvement in symptoms in as little as a few days.
So I recommend you try this product for 1 month. If it improves your situation, you can continue taking it. If not, stop and consult a dietician for your question about flaxseed.
Good day,
