Hello,
According to the studies we have on more than 6,000 pregnant women, Sertraline (Zoloft) is not associated with a risk of malformation in the child. However, we always try to expose the child to as little medication as possible during pregnancy. Therefore, the decision to continue, decrease and/or stop the medication should be made after discussion with your doctor. On the one hand, depending on the reason for taking the medication, some women will consider that there is more benefit in continuing the treatment than in having a poorly treated condition. On the other hand, some stable women will try to reduce or stop the medication during pregnancy
Thus, all choices are possible with regard to this medication during pregnancy.
