I have been taking the birth control pill zamine for several years and I want to start taking magnesium supplements.

Good morning, ma'am,

There is no direct interaction between magnesium and your contraceptive. However, magnesium can cause diarrhea, and diarrhea can decrease the effectiveness of the contraceptive.
