Can the gastro vaccine transmit gastroenteritis?

I'm having people over tomorrow night, including a 2 month old who had his oral gastro vaccine yesterday. I am 23 weeks pregnant. Is there a risk that I could be contaminated by the baby?

Hello, the gastroenteritis vaccine contains several strains of the virus that is most commonly involved, the Rotavirus, but it is attenuated. This means that the virus is not active enough to develop the disease and therefore cannot transmit an infection. The vaccine only allows the child to develop quick and efficient defenses if he gets gastroenteritis in the future. I only recommend that you wash your hands well if you handle the child to avoid transmitting bacteria to him given his young age
