I have a lot of pain around the walls of my tonsil. It's swollen/red and I have a kind of white spot that looks like a uclere/hole, it hurts like hell on the right side of the tonsil when I swallow. What could it be and what should I do? Should I take antbios? I just want it to go away, it hurts like hell and I'm afraid it's going to get worse and super infected.

Hello!
The situation you describe sounds like pharyngitis or tonsillitis to me. These infections are often caused by viruses. When an infection is caused by a virus, only time will cure the infection.
These infections can also be caused by a bacteria, strep throat, but this is less common. In this case, the doctor prescribes antibiotics.
So I advise you to go to a doctor and have what is called a strep test done. This test will determine if a bacteria or virus is involved. When you make your appointment, ask if the doctor does strep tests. If not, ask them for an alternative.
In the meantime, to ease the pain, you can gargle your throat with salt water a few times a day. You can also take Tylenol at the rate of 2 tablets of 500 mg 4 times a day every 6 hours. A maximum of 8 tablets should be taken every 24 hours. You can also take Advil, 2 x 200 mg tablets 3 times a day every 8 hours, maximum 6 tablets in 24 hours. Call your pharmacist to see if these products are compatible with your medications or medical conditions, if you have any, before taking these products.
