I have a very bad neck pain. What recommendations can you give me to reduce the discomfort and pain?

Hello Mrs. and thank you for your question :)
In order to answer you properly, I have a few questions of my own:
1- How long have you had neck pain?
2- Is it due to an accident or is it a torticollis?
3- Do you have any other symptoms?
4- What have you tried so far to relieve the pain?
Thank you, I am waiting to hear from you :)

1- I have been in pain since last night
2- I think it's a torticollis
3- I am very tense in my whole upper body and I get shocks when I move too fast
4- I took Aleeve for the pain, but no change. I have tried heat as well, with no change
I do telework and had a lot of trouble doing my work today.

Perfect, thank you for this information.
Actually, you did the right thing :)
The Aleve will work (I suggest you take 1 tablet 3 times a day every 8 hours). You need to give it a little more time, but by tomorrow it will be much better.
And you can also continue to apply heat.
If it is very painful today, I suggest you add a muscle relaxant that you can find in a pharmacy (e.g. Robaxacet or Orfenace), and if possible.... rest a bit by leaning your head on the back of your chair.
I hope this helps a little :)
Don't hesitate to write me again if you have any other questions!
Have a nice evening,
Emmanuelle
