What should I do to help him if it is indeed a torticollis?

Hello, my 2 1/2 year old boy has been telling me since this morning that he has pain in his neck. Now when he walks, he stays very straight with his right shoulder raised a little. I think it could be a torticollis. What should I do? Thank you

Hello,
How did this happen? A false move? Got up like that?
Have you tried to relieve it so far?

He woke up like this. I gave him tylenol, but it doesn't seem to make him feel better

Thanks for the clarification. Advil probably has a better chance of relieving it. You can even combine Tylenol and Advil alternately. At his age, he obviously can't take muscle relexants or use topical products. However, the application of heat (in compresses or otherwise) could help reduce the stiffness because it could relax the muscle. It should last a few days before the symptoms go away completely.
