Pregnancy test baby test hyper long cycle! When can I take a reliable pregnancy test?

Hello, we are in a baby trial. I have long cycles of 40/60 days. I am currently at D 41. I was wondering at what point I can do pregnancy tests? At what point is it reliable? At the same time I would like to know if I can do something to have shorter cycles (at least 35).

Hello,
Most pregnancy tests guarantee 99.9% effectiveness in detecting pregnancy when done 1 week after the expected date of menstruation. Some tests mention that they can be done earlier, but this often decreases the percentage of effectiveness.
For your second question, unfortunately no there is nothing that can be done by yourself to shorten a menstrual cycle. Some treatments are available under prescription to modify the cycle, but this is in the context of a follow-up with a fertility doctor

Hello, I am very worried I have cycles of 60/70 days since my phiZer vaccine for covid in June. In the trial baby have it set at 60 days instead of 30 days. As before the vaccine, it's bad for us... can my doctor help me get back to normal so I can make a baby. Thank you

Hello,
There are indeed reports of menstrual cycle changes (e.g. skipped cycles, irregular periods) following the COVID vaccine. However, there is no evidence at this time to suggest that this affects fertility or the chances of having a child. For now, we believe that this is caused by the body's reaction to stress.
Indeed, in times of stress, as the vaccine can cause, the body will tend to keep its energy and thus cause a disruption of the cycle. Note that this is also reported a lot with people who have caught COVID. Unfortunately, in these circumstances, the doctor will not be able to do anything about it, unless your cycle problems are related to a problem other than the vaccine.
I hope I have helped you,
