After a 5 week miscarriage, can my next period be later than usual? Thank you for your help!

On Sept. 30, I had a miscarriage (first time in my life) of 5 weeks and I had a normal period. I am 41 years old and we are trying for a 2nd child. No health concerns since then besides a good cold. However, I am 2 days late in my current cycle and I don't feel any symptoms of pregnancy. Could my cycle be out of whack following this 5 week miscarriage? Before I go buy a pregnancy test again.
