Should I return to the doctor:pharmacy for this or is this normal?

My baby has an ear infection and a perforated eardrum. He has been on amoxicillin (10 ml 2x a day) for one week now. He still has pain in his ears and the eardrum still smells.

Hi, One week is a long time. Usually, the antibiotics should start working after 2 to 3 days. I would suggest going back to the doctor because maybe the amoxicillin is not the right antibiotic for the bacteria infecting the ear. A reassessment would be necessary.
