When is it best to take my antidepressant?

Hello, I take Riva Sertaline 12.5mg at dinner. I feel good after taking it. The next morning I have anxiety all day. I have been taking it for only 8 days. The psychiatrist asked me to divide the 25 mon powder in two. I feel anxiety which I did not feel before. Is it because my brain is getting used to the molecule?

In order to better advise you, I would only need to confirm the medication and the dose you are talking about, because to my knowledge, Sertraline does not exist in 12.5mg? Thank you in advance! Your antidepressant may take 4 to 6 weeks to reach its maximum effectiveness. A slight and temporary increase in anxiety at the beginning of the treatment is not abnormal either, but it usually does not exceed 10 to 14 days.
