I have what feels like a spider bite on my neck. It won't go away. Could it be something else?

Hello! In order to better answer your question I have a few questions for you: 1) since when did you notice the lesion? 2) are there any pimples or just a redness? 3) How big is the lesion (as big as a $2, more or less?)? 4) does it sting or heat up? 5) what have you put on it so far? Thanks :) Emmanuelle

Perfect! If the lesion hasn't evolved in the last week (hasn't grown, hasn't changed color, etc.), I would first try a 0.5% or 1% cortisone cream (which you can buy without a prescription at the pharmacy), 3 times a day for a few days, in addition to a moisturizing cream such as Cerave (also available at the pharmacy) in the morning and evening. If after 3 or 4 days you do not see any improvement, it would be better to consult your doctor. (I am assuming that you do not have any other symptoms such as fever, headache or other). Does this answer your question? Thank you, Emmanuelle
