There is blood in my stool due to fissures. I take Lax-a-day but as soon as I stop, it starts again and it is very painful. What can I do?

Hello,
When it comes to anal fissures, it is important to see a doctor about this so that he or she can prescribe treatment if necessary. Also, the doctor will be able to better assess your situation in order to avoid the risk of complications.
Meanwhile, it is certain that constipation does not help the symptoms related to anal fissures 😥 ! If symptoms seem to be controlled with daily lax-a-day, you can use this product at a rate of 17 g (diluted in 250 ml of water) by mouth once a day (unless otherwise directed by your prescriber). Regular use of the product is acceptable while breastfeeding.
You can also adopt certain lifestyle habits aimed at reducing your constipation:
  • Improve your fiber intake (increase your fruit/vegetable intake, as well as your water intake)
  • Perform regular physical activity.
Depending on the kind you use, your multivitamin may increase your risk of constipation (especially if it contains calcium and iron). I suggest you talk to your doctor or pharmacist about whether a change could be made in this area.
Hoping to have been able to help you,
