I am taking a hormonal contraceptive and my calf is cramping, should I be concerned?

Hello ! I have had cramp-like pain in my right calf for about 24 hours. I am 22 years old and have been taking a COC (Lolo) for at least 5 years. On a regular basis, I also take a multivitamin and Claritin (for allergy season). I have had migraines forever and have a triptan (Maxalt) prescribed recently, but have not taken it yet. I have support stockings at home and usually use them at the end of a standing work day, but I might put them on if that would help.

Are there any possible causes of this pain, such as exercise, a wrong move or an injury?

Thrombosis can be manifested by pain in the knee or surrounding muscles, swelling in the leg, and pain.

If you are unable to identify any cause for this pain, and it seems to be increasing, it would be wise to consult a physician as a precaution.

As for migraines, when you have them, do you experience aura symptoms, such as decreased or lost vision, tingling or pins and needles?

Hello,

The only possible cause I could see is that I walked very fast to get back from the university on Wednesday night, because it was raining and I didn't have my umbrella. I walk to get there every day, so I'm not sure if that would really be the cause

So far, I don't see any symptoms other than the pain in my upper right calf, but I may pay attention to that in the next few hours

Regarding the migraines, I have indeed been having auras for a few years, but this was not the case before. The presentation has changed a lot between childhood and adolescence
