My period is 5 days late and I have had a copper IUD for 1 year and I am regular with it, is this normal?

My contraceptive method is the Mona Lisa copper IUD. I have had it for about 1 year and I have never had any delay, but sometimes spotting between my periods, so it is unusual for me to have a delay of 5 days. Moreover, I can feel the string of my IUD a lot, which seems to be long in my opinion if I compare it to my last IUD that I had before, with which I could feel the string very rarely. With this one for about 8 months, I feel it constantly no matter what my position is when I go to check. Could it be that it is displaced and that I am at risk of getting pregnant? I haven't taken a pregnancy test yet.

Hello,
Before we begin, I have a few questions to ask you.
Have you experienced a stressful event recently?
Have you been more physically active?

Hello,
I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was negative.
As for stress, I went through a stressful event over a month ago and since then I've had my period once or twice. I have a pretty stressful lifestyle in general in my opinion with all my obligations, but I have never had a late period.
I haven't been more active, on the contrary, I have a more sedentary lifestyle lately.
Thank you for your help!

Okay, thanks for the clarification. Obviously I was asking these questions because high stress or suddenly increased physical activity can contribute to a delayed or missed period. If you have already taken a pregnancy test and it is negative, the chances are high that it is indeed negative (considering that you are already a few days late).
If you suspect that your IUD may have been displaced, I suggest that you make an appointment with your gynecologist as soon as possible so that he or she can validate this. If it is out of place, you may be at greater risk of getting pregnant. It doesn't mean it's out of place, but any reasonable doubt is worth checking out
I hope that answers your question. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate
