Vaginal burning since I got a new partner?

22-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello, after some sexual intercourse with a new partner I feel a burning in the vagina. I also have white, thick and viscous discharge. I feel a little smell but nothing very intense. I am used to having vaginal mycosis (I would say 3 to 4 times a year) and I find that the symptoms are very similar. Could this be a mycosis? From the first intercourse and the first penetration I felt this burning. I also have some burning when I urinate after sex. I feel dry when I wipe myself despite the discharge. Thank you for your help!

Hello, ma'am,
Do your symptoms persist for a long time after intercourse or are they only present for a time afterwards?
Does your partner use a condom? If so, is it a new kind, or with a spermicide or flavour? Have you changed any other habits, such as using soap?

I started taking birth control pills again this month and have been taking them continuously. No use of condoms. I would say that the pain is present when I go to the bathroom and wipe myself especially if not a little during and after intercourse. It lasts about 5 to 10 minutes. As long as I don't play in that area it's fine!

Thanks for the feedback!
Many people can report this kind of discomfort after unprotected sex, especially in the case of lack of lubrication or even in the case of full intercourse (i.e. internal ejaculation). It would be relevant to evaluate whether the same discomfort occurs with lubrication (water-based like K-Y) and/or with a condom.
