How do I withdraw from my antidepressant?

Hello, I have been taking sertraline 25 mg since August 2021. I wanted to decrease because in the morning I am in a haze and I want to escape from my body. Since one week I have decreased by 1/4. My body reacts enormously, anxiety +++, tingling in the hands electric shocks...in the body. Is this normal? I have to see my doctor on the 23rd but to start hormones because I am menopausal with ++ symptoms. Thank you very much for this information.

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question! If you don't mind me asking, do you open the capsule and take the quarter? In any case, I strongly suggest that you consult your pharmacist: he/she can get a liquid form of sertraline to make it easier for you to take and to help you take a more accurate dose. Also, he/she can develop a withdrawal schedule with you and provide follow-up tailored to your needs, should you wish to discontinue the medication.
