Hello,
In order to answer your question accurately, I need to ask you a few questions.
What contraceptive are you taking?
Are you taking it continuously?
Have there been any recent changes in your lifestyle (sleep quality, exercise, diet, etc.)?

I have been taking Alesse for a good 6 years and I take it the week of my period. I haven't really had any change in my lifestyle, except that I walk a little more.

I feel like I've been losing my hair more and I'm quite tired, maybe it's related, but my doctor has already done blood tests for my thyroid and it looks like everything was fine.

Thank you for the clarification. What you describe makes me think of hormonal effects. Obviously, in my opinion, hair loss, fatigue and the absence of periods are related. Normally, it is suggested to see a doctor for this kind of problem after 3 cycles without a period
Your situation is a case that requires a medical evaluation in my opinion. It doesn't mean that it is necessarily serious, but the cause must be properly evaluated to eliminate it
I hope that I have enlightened you a bit even if I am not able to give you a more precise answer.

Thank you! Do you think I could have a thyroid disorder even though nothing abnormal has been detected in past tests?
Jean-Sébastien Lecompte · 3 years ago
I don't think it could be your thyroid gland based on the symptoms you are reporting
In some cases, symptoms of hypothyroidism may be present even if the blood tests are normal. However, the more typical symptoms are constipation, fatigue, depressed mood, daytime sleepiness, etc

Ok thanks! I have one last question, should I start taking my pill again tonight as usual or should I wait and see if I get my period in a few days?
Jean-Sébastien Lecompte · 3 years ago
I think you could wait a few more days before going back on the pill to see if your period starts. However, you should remember that protection during intercourse will be necessary for a period of 7 days after resumption
