My period was preceded by 6 days of spotting, is this normal?

I take the birth control pill marvelon continuously and last year I stopped it in February, I started it again in November following a separation! Before I stopped it I was taking it continuously for 3 months but then I started again wanting to do the same it didn't work, my body wants it to be every 2 months. So I was in my week in March and now I am. The problem is that last week (week 15 May) I had dark red brown spotting, I continued my pill thinking it would stop but it didn't. Then last Sunday (May 22) I had big cramps and I started to bleed a lot. And today (May 28) I've been bleeding for 6 days, yesterday and today it's less, but it's pale red and a bit like vaginal liquid mixed, but it's not dripping very much into my sanitary napkin, it's when I go to the toilet that the paper is full of blood.

Good morning, ma'am,
Just to be sure I understand, when did you start taking Marvelon again?
How many days did you stop taking Marvelon this time?
Thank you

Thanks for the information!
The recommendation if you are taking continuously is to take a break of 3 to 4 days (any period of 7 days or less is OK) and then resume, if you had been taking the contraceptive for 21 days previously
That being said, although it may seem unpleasant, it does not necessarily indicate a problem. In fact, it may take 3 to 6 months for it to go away. If it was a one-time occurrence, I would encourage you to continue taking your contraceptive, if you are willing to do so.
I hope this helps, and I am available if you have any further questions!
