GERD reflux in 3 month old babies

124-year-old woman5 years ago
My 3 month old baby has always had reflux and regurgitation but for the past few days it has been getting worse. She is restless at night and sleeps poorly, sometimes cries during feeding, coughs and chokes. I'm going to contact her pediatrician but I'm wondering if it's an emergency? I'm afraid I won't be able to reach her doctor for a few more days.

Hello and thank you for your question.
In order to answer you properly, I would like to know if she still manages to drink a sufficient quantity of milk (despite the crying and coughing)?
Also, does she urinate as often as usual or less?
Finally, does she have a fever? Red cheeks?
Thank you for your help,
Emmanuelle

Hello! Drinking and urination are fine. No red cheeks or fever.

Thanks for the information!
So if she is drinking well and urinating well (bowel movements OK?), I don't think it's necessary to go to the emergency room indeed.
If you can see your pediatrician this week, that would be ok. I would call her clinic tomorrow morning though.
Have a great evening!
