Hello,
Thrush mainly presents itself as white spots, like deposits, on the tongue and cheeks, sometimes on the palate and gums. Unlike milk, these spots stick to the mouth and are not easily removed. You can try rubbing them gently with a cotton swab, which will allow you to tell the difference between the two. If in doubt, consult a health care professional.
If it is thrush, it is important to make sure your baby continues to feed properly as the lesions can be painful. If you are breastfeeding, your nipples should be checked as they may be contaminated as well.
To receive treatment, you must see a doctor.
We hope this is helpful to you.
