I start taking my birth control pill again after my period, how long does it take effect?

Hello Ma'am,

If you take it as early as day 7 of your period, or in the days leading up to it (during your period), it is effective as soon as you take it.

If instead you wait a few days after your period ends (more than 7 days after stopping the previous pack), then you have to wait 7 days for it to be effective.
