Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
Using acetaminophen (Tylenol), or ibuprofen if you are not pregnant, trying to conceive or have any other contraindications (your pharmacist can check with you), are good options for pain relief. Lozenges such as Halls, Ricola or Fisherman's Friend can also provide local relief. I also encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot, as you prefer.
If your symptoms worsen, new symptoms develop, or they persist for more than 7 days, you will unfortunately need to see a doctor for a personalized assessment of your needs and, if necessary, not delay the right treatment. You will have to visit a walk-in clinic if you do not have a family doctor. The Hello Health platform could help you get an appointment at a nearby clinic.
Teleconsultation platforms could also be considered, such as Maple Health or Dialogue.
I hope this has been helpful and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me
