Is it possible during a gastro to vomit one day, get better the next day and then vomit again the day after?

My 22 month old daughter had some vomiting 4 days ago ( about 3-4 vomits ) the next day everything seemed to be fine and then 2 days ago the vomiting started again for a good part of the day then yesterday and today she seems to be fine ( only one episode of diarrhea today she had only made some stools a little softer in the last few days but nothing alarming ) and now this week she is vomiting again ( once for the moment ) her general condition is good she was cheerful all day. Since the last 2 days she ate a little bit ( fruits, yogurt, grilled cheese, soup, toast,..) but it's for sure that she had less appetite and I give her pedialyte when she had vomiting.
