Can my 14 year old son take a medication that says 16+ for the common cold?

Hello, my 14 year old caught a cold. He is 5'8 and weighs 145 lbs. I gave him a cold and flu advil. Can he take this even though it is indicated 16+? Thank you very much! Yes, that makes me feel better. I can help him with his cold Thank you and have a nice day
