My spouse has pain in a testicle. Is there anything available over the counter that could help him?

He is in good health and does not take any medication regularly. Lately, one of his testicles hurts. The pain comes and goes depending on the day, sometimes more intense than other times. We think it could be a urinary tract infection.

Good morning, ma'am,
Urinary tract infections do not usually affect the testicles. The characteristic symptoms of urinary tract infections are
  • Pain with urination;
  • Frequent urge to urinate;
  • Blood in the urine;
  • Sensation of incomplete emptying of the bladder. 🤒
A testicular pain, which leaves and returns from one end, and which varies in intensity, absolutely must be investigated by a doctor/woman doctor to establish a diagnosis to the said testicular pain. Indeed, the causes of testicular pain can be multiple: some benign, others less so, but in any case, to be sure and to adequately treat testicular pain, one must turn to an empowered professional.e. 👨⚕️👩⚕️
Thus, I encourage your spouse to make an appointment with their family doctor/wife physician or on this website to find an appropriate resource.
I hope this information guides you to the best possible care. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions! 😊
