What kind of virus could I have with these symptoms?

I have a super sore throat since yesterday! Unable to swallow my saliva and nose blocked My COVID test is negative. When I swallow it feels like a knife blade sliding over my tonsils... I bought lozenges and a spray to freeze my throat but nothing works, it's just a horrible feeling. What could it be and what can I do to lessen the pain while waiting for my appointment at my clinic?
