What should I do? Can I start a new Canestin treatment?

Hello, I had a urinary tract infection about a week ago. I was treated with an antibiotic and my infection went away. However, I think I developed a vaginal infection immediately after taking the antibiotic. My symptoms are itchy vulva and vaginal rustling. I took the canestin 1 day treatment three days ago. I have seen almost no improvement.

Hello,
It is very common for an antibiotic treatment to lead to a vaginal infection because taking the antibiotic disrupts the vaginal flora. In addition, your symptoms are indeed similar to a vaginal infection
The Canesten should have already taken effect. So the first treatment probably didn't work. In this case, I would recommend that you try fluconazole capsules by mouth. This treatment is usually very effective and works within 72 hours
If it still doesn't work, I would recommend that you consult to review the diagnosis and perhaps try a prescribed treatment.
