I forgot to take my contraceptive?

I forgot the first pill of my new pack (these are packs with a week's worth of red pills) but I had unprotected sex the same day. I took all the following pills without interruption.

Hello Ma'am, thank you for your question! A break of more than 7 days of the contraceptive can greatly compromise its effectiveness. Also, when restarted after more than 7 days of break, the contraceptive may not be effective for the next 7 days.
