I am taking citalopram 30mg and I would like to get pregnant soon. Should I lower it to 20mg? Can I breastfeed too?

Good morning, ma'am,
Several references report that citalopram can be continued in women trying to conceive, pregnant women, and nursing mothers :)
One must always weigh the benefits and risks of treating or not treating depression or anxiety, and the possible effects of this condition on the pregnancy and the fetus. I do not suggest stopping it, especially if you find it effective in helping you manage your condition.
If you ever wish to discontinue this or any other medication, I strongly advise you to consult your pharmacist who will be able to personalize the transmission of information, and contact your doctor if necessary. They will be in a better position to give you all the information relevant to your situation to help you make an informed decision.
Sincerely

On the contrary, I really wanted to continue with this medication, because it allows me to finally live a normal life. I was afraid of the possible risks with citalopram for my baby. This reassures me
But considering your answer, I will continue :-)
thank you so much!
