How do I know if I am pre-menopausal?

I am 42 years old, my last period was from June 9 to 12. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests all negative since then (2 from Dollarama which usually work well for me and one from the pharmacy), but I feel bloated like I did the last time I was pregnant (I have a 3 year old boy and a 2 year old girl). Thank you for your response. I will try to reach my doctor's walk-in clinic as she is on maternity leave.

Hello Ma'am, thank you for your question! Pregnancy tests available in pharmacies (I can't comment on those available elsewhere) are usually very accurate. For menopause, it is diagnosed based on the absence of menstruation for 12 consecutive months... While not impossible in your case, menopause is unlikely at age 42.
