Hello, In order to answer your question, I would need to know why the pumps were prescribed and what the dosage of the 2 pumps are?

Hello I am prescribed flovent 2 times a day and salbutamol 4 times a day if needed. I am under investigation if I have exercise induced asthma. I train 3 times a week

Good evening, For asthma, your 2 pumps do not need to be taken one after the other. In fact, each of your pumps will be effective even if taken alone. The Flovent pump (orange/red) is the most important one. Indeed, it allows you to treat asthma, thus treating the inflammation in your lungs. It should usually be taken every day regardless of whether or not you have asthma. The salbutamol pump (blue) is optional. It is never required. It expands your lungs quickly, so you feel better on the spot, but it does not work on the disease. So, it is only taken when needed if you are coughing a lot, wheezing or having difficulty breathing. Accordingly, the only time the 2 pumps are taken at the same time is if, at the time of taking your regular dose of Flovent, you happen to be coughing a lot, wheezing or having difficulty breathing, then the salbutamol pump can be taken first at 5 minute intervals. If asthma is confirmed, I invite you to look at the 5 questions of the little QUIZ in the following document (Asthma Action Plan): https://www.inesss.qc.ca/fileadmin/doc/INESSS/Outils/Asthme_2011/PlanClinique-FR-final_2011-. This allows you to validate by yourself if your asthma is well controlled or not. The rest of the action plan can be completed with your health care team.
