I need to change birth control pills and I don't know how to make the transition?

Hello, my doctor has prescribed a new birth control pill. I don't know how to make the transition between the two pills. The pill I am taking now I start it on Friday and I take it for 21 days, the other 7 days I don't take it because I have my period and I start taking the pill again on Friday. For the new pill, do I have to wait until my period is over before taking the first pill? I use alesse and now I'll take lolo

Hello Mrs In order to better advise you, would it be possible to know which contraceptive you are taking now and which one will be started soon? Thanks for the information! The manufacturer recommends that you finish your current pack of Alesse and then start the Lolo afterwards, without exceeding 7 days without hormones. You could alternatively start the Lolo today (or tomorrow if you have already taken the Alesse tablet today), but this may carry a higher risk of spotting.
