Hello , I take the Micronor pill after my delivery in December. I started taking it in February because I was breastfeeding and then my gynecologist decided to continue it (even though I'm not breastfeeding anymore) because I get migraines 2 days before my period. I would like to know: I have never been able to have a regular cycle as a child and I have been menstruating almost every day of the month since March. The longest I've gone without my period in a month is 4 days in each month. I'm really tired, I'm starting to feel weak and since I don't have a family doctor and the gynecologists only follow me during pregnancy I'm wondering what to do and I know that it must be something wrong, can you help me? Thank you and have a nice day

Before your pregnancy, did you take the pill, and if so, which one? Did you have such migraines? I think I have a solution for you.

Thank you!!! Before pregnancy I had an IUD but I would like to go back to the pill because I plan to get pregnant again next year ... I already took the pill Yasmine ... thank you and have a nice day

Thank you for the information. The fact that you are almost continuously menstruating illustrates that the Micronor pill is probably not sufficient for you. This pill contains a small amount of hormones and must be taken at very specific times (missing it by as little as 3 hours could decrease the protection it provides).

Considering this, I think you should see a doctor again and switch to a pill that contains both types of hormones instead (like Yasmin). Finally, because you get migraines on the days before your period, it might be worthwhile for you to take the pill continuously (i.e., not stop taking the hormones for 1 week every month). This may well solve the problem.

Finally, don't forget to talk to your doctor about migraines, who can help you decide if they are a problem with taking hormones.

P.S. It is easier to have a family doctor. If I were you, I would ask the doctor who follows your child, or an Access Clinic.
