Should I take the morning-after pill?

Hello, I am wondering if I should take the morning after pill. I don't take birth control pills. I have an irregular menstrual cycle. I believe that my period should be in approximately one week. My previous period started on May 21. Also, I seem to have a little pain in my lower abdomen as a result. Thank you

I forgot to mention: There was only stimulation and penetration with my partner's fingers (so no sexual intercourse), but I don't know if there could have been semen on his hands at that moment.

Hello, First of all, it would be relevant to know if you take medication on a regular basis. Indeed, some medications can interact with emergency oral contraception (morning-after pill). Secondly, you should know that the risk of pregnancy when there is no penetration is very low, if not zero. That being said, you may still decide to use emergency oral contraception if you are sufficiently concerned about this situation and want to minimize the risk of unwanted pregnancy. Also note that the risks associated with taking emergency oral contraception are minimal. If you are unsure, you may wish to discuss the matter further in person at the pharmacy before making your decision. Following this meeting, the pharmacist could suggest the most appropriate treatment for you and, if necessary, prescribe it if you decide to take it. I hope I have clarified this for you. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.
