I have started to have pink discharge again while taking my birth control pills, but I am not back on my sugar pills. What should I do?

Hello, a few weeks ago I forgot a pill and I had asked a pharmacist what I should do and he had suggested me to take two packs in a row (i.e. no week off). He also told me that if I had bleeding during the first week (pink pill) that I could take a second pack (i.e. take two week 1s in a row). I am at the end of my first week and I have just had bleeding on the last day of my week 1. So my question is: should I start a new pack tomorrow (Sunday)? will it stop the bleeding? Thanks

Hello, I have looked at your file here and you did speak with a fellow pharmacist 16 days ago who had recommended that you take a new pack if you had slight bleeding during the first week of taking your new pack. If I understand correctly, you followed her advice and threw away the pack after taking week 1, right? What is the name of your pill? Beyond your question, it will be relevant to see if a change is necessary. Spotting or periods that start in the middle of the cycle like this informs us that the hormone level may be too low. Please get back to me so I can help you better.

I actually followed his advice so I started a new pack so I have two week 1 in a row My pill is Alesse 28 and it only does this for me It only does that if I don't do the I had already switched to lolo and it really didn't do anything for me. And this time I skipped the week off because she had recommended it to me because I had forgotten a pill

Thank you for these details. How many days of the pink pill did you take during this cycle before your period started? 7 days? 20 days?

I had forgotten a pill on Thursday of my week 2 (I took the forgotten pill at the same time as my Friday pill) I did my whole week 3 and threw away the sugar pills. With a new pack I took week 1 and on Friday it started and on Sunday (yesterday) I started a new pack

Perfect! You did the right thing by starting a new pad. Take the whole pack. You may be able to take the whole pack without getting your period. Taking the pill continuously (without stopping or taking sugar pills) may take 3 to 6 cycles before it works perfectly and menstruation is completely avoided.
