Can I take amino acid tablets before surgery?

Hello Madam, it is indeed considered a natural product and it would therefore be preferable to abstain, as requested, before surgery. In fact, it is the lack of scientific data certifying the safety of the use of these products during the pre-operative period that explains this recommendation. Doctors often do a complete check-up before surgery (blood tests, ECG, etc.) to ensure that everything is safe for surgery. Taking different supplements could interfere in different ways: make these results fluctuate (example: increase the magnesemia) interfere with certain medications needed during surgery, influence the bleeding time etc. I believe that it is better to suspend any natural product that has not been approved by the surgeon.
