Hello In October I had a vaginitis following 3 antibiotic treatments for a cenusitis. I was prescribed canesten cream for 6 days and then I went back to my family doctor and she prescribed me another medication in pill this time if (sorry I don't remember the name) I had two to take at three days interval. It didn't work and I still have a lot of white loss. She did a test on me and it came back negative. I called the clinic again because I still have a lot of white discharge and they told me that it would go away on its own and that I didn't need to come back to the clinic. My question is how long can it take for it to come back to normal. Because I put pads all the time because there is a lot of white discharge and it does not get better and it's been more than three months that it lasts? Thank you for taking the time to read my question.

Do you have vaginal itching? Is your vaginal secretion smelly? Certainly, if it has been going on for 3 months and is bothering you, it is best to talk to your doctor. There are several options for treating vaginitis, as well as preventing it, that you can discuss with your doctor. In the meantime,

In the meantime, there are some non-pharmacological measures that can be taken to prevent these infections from recurring frequently. Be sure to use an unscented soap to wash the genital area, such as Dove unscented for example. It is also important to avoid thong-type underwear and synthetic underwear, preferring cotton. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist for more advice or don't hesitate to write me again! Sincerely,
