Should I take the morning-after pill if my partner has vasectomy?

38-year-old woman3 years ago
My partner had a vasectomy on March 19, 2021. We had unprotected intercourse yesterday, without having the results of his spermogram. Since I am in my ovulation period, would it be safer to take the morning after pill?

Hello, thank you for your very good question! It is usually recommended to perform a spermogram 30 ejaculations after the vasectomy to verify its effectiveness.
If in doubt, yes, you can take the emergency oral contraceptive (also called the morning-after pill or Plan B). A short consultation with your pharmacist will be done.
I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
