Probiotics (or certain yogurts with probiotics) have been shown to be effective for 2 reasons associated with antibiotics: to prevent diarrhea associated with antibiotics or to prevent the risk of getting C. Difficile, especially in people at risk (for example, people who have already had a C. Difficile infection). So, if you want to use them for one of these 2 reasons, probiotics can be used.
