When should I take my Fragmin?

34-year-old woman3 years ago
Hello, I am 24 weeks pregnant. I have been taking fragmin since the beginning of my pregnancy, as well as aspirin since I have a history of pulmonary embolism with hormonal contraception. I have always taken my fragmin in the morning, so I am wondering if it was my decision to take it in the morning as part of my routine or if it was better to take it in the morning. I know that I have to take my aspirin in the evening. So I would like to know if I can take my fragmin (by injection) at any time of the day?

Congratulations on your pregnancy!
You can take Fragmin at any time of the day, but ideally at the same time.
If you were always taking it in the morning, and wish to take it in the evening, try to make a smooth transition to the evening: i.e., tomorrow do your injection 2-3 hours later than usual, and so on the next day, until you reach the time you prefer to do your injections.
I hope I have been of some help to you, and I am always available if you have any further questions!
