Hello, I forgot to take my pill yesterday (Thursday) morning (9) and I realized the forgetfulness only this morning (Friday)(9). I took both pills this morning (Friday) at 9am but on Wednesday I had unprotected sex. Should I take the morning after pill?

Hello, In order to answer the question, I would need to know: - You are at what week of your pack - Are you doing the week of cessation (without hormone) - Have you had any other recent forgetting of pills?

Second week I start my third week tomorrow (Sunday) I take sugar pills I have a 28 day cycle I have never missed a pill before

Thank you for the information. Missed doses during weeks 2 and 3 of the pack are less of a problem than during week 1. However, since you have taken the missed dose 24 hours later, it is recommended to finish the pack and start a new one without a break (sugar pill) for this time, in order to keep the contraceptive effect.

If I understand correctly, I should finish my fourth week and immediately start a new platelet?

Do I have to because I've already stuck to two blister packs without taking the sugar pills and I still had my period during the week I was supposed to have them but on pink pills I'm afraid to destroy my cycle again?

Sorry, I meant my week three and went straight to a new booklet

You have understood correctly, it is recommended to finish week 3 of the package and start another one. This is based on the fact that missing this week is enough to stimulate the growth of a follicle at the egg level. So, if you do your week off (sugar pill) as planned, you are not able to inhibit enough potential ovulation and there is a risk of getting pregnant. If you have bleeding during the first week of the pack, then you can take only week 1 (pink pill) of the pack and throw away the rest. Then start a new pack right away and you should then be able to maintain your normal cycle.

If this change in your pill regimen is confusing, you may want to consider the EOC. However, you should know that the EOC can also slightly unbalance your cycle and change the date of your next bleeding

ECP = morning-after pill or emergency oral contraception

Okay, so if I understand correctly I take a blister pack I only take week 1 and I throw it away and I go get another one and start it right away so I take two week 1s? Thanks

Exactly! It keeps your cycle in place
