Is this normal or should I be concerned about these post-installation symptoms?

Hello, I had the Kyleena IUD installed on August 4th. I have had normal/medium abdominal bleeding with intermittent pelvic pain since August 7. Today is August 17, so I have been bleeding for 11 days.

Hello and thank you for the question :) In fact yes, it is normal to have some bleeding (spotting or heavier bleeding) following the placement of the Kyleena. In fact this situation should gradually fade in 3 to 6 months. If you do not see improvement within 2 weeks (persistent heavy bleeding), it would be best to see your doctor.
