Acetaminophen does not cause any problems during pregnancy. However, the other ingredients, especially pseudoephedrine, should be avoided, especially in the first trimester. I therefore do not recommend it

It is also important to know that cold and sinus tablets are not more effective than acetaminophen alone (Tylenol) for sore throats and headaches. They contain products for coughs and stuffy or runny noses, but nothing specific to sore throats.

I recommend acetaminophen, drinking lots of fluids and using honey lozenges (not the one with benzocaine and/or menthol) to control the pain
