I started citalopram 30mg again after not taking it for 1 week and I have a lot of nausea?

Hello, I am taking citalopram 30mg and I did not take it for 1 week. I started taking it again on Monday and since then, I have been having nausea all the time, but it's worse for the last 2 days. Is there a link? What can I do to reduce the symptoms and how long do you think it will last? Thank you

Hello ma'am
Yes, citalopram can cause nausea and it is not impossible that it is secondary to taking 30mg a week after "suspending" it
If the situation persists, or becomes intolerable, it would be best to consult your pharmacist who can assess the need to (temporarily) decrease the dose to ensure better tolerance.
I hope this has been helpful to you, and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me!
