Hello Ma'am,
Keratosis pilaris is a very common and benign skin disorder that occurs when there is an overproduction of the protein keratin in the hair follicles. In fact, it causes the formation of spots or bumps that may be accompanied by itching when the skin is dry.
Unfortunately, there is no treatment that can completely remove keratosis pilaris. However, the application of moisturizing cream can improve the appearance of the skin and ease discomfort. In fact, creams containing urea and lactic acid can improve the appearance of affected areas. It is recommended to apply its creams 2 to 3 times a day, within 5 minutes of getting out of the bath or shower, while the skin is still wet, gently massaging the skin with the keratosis pilaris.
To learn more, I suggest the section on keratosis pilaris on the American Dermatology Association website (https://www.aad.org/public/diseases/a-z/keratosis-pilaris-self-care).
Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions.
Happy day,
