I have been playing volleyball and I am having trouble moving my thumb. What can I do? Is it sprained?

Hello Ma'am,
You would need to go to a pharmacy to get a thumb splint to immobilize it. This will reduce the pain and probably allow for faster healing.
Whether it is sprained or broken, only a doctor will be able to say after examining the thumb. Either way, the only thing to do is immobilization.
😊

I worked as a pharmacist in the emergency department of the Granby Hospital for 6 years before dedicating myself to Ask your Pharmacist. I completed my education in telehealth at Jefferson University in Philadelphia and are recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Informatics at Université de Sherbrooke.
