Teeth staining is a possible but fairly rare side effect of doxycycline. This warning applies especially to pregnant or nursing women and children. This staining may be reversible in adults.
Although this side effect is rare, unfortunately there is no such thing as zero risk, the only way to avoid this is to not take doxycycline, which I cannot recommend. Your pharmacist will be in a better position to personalize a follow-up with you, if you wish.
