Is there a medication to regulate the menstrual cycle?

26-year-old woman3 years ago
I stopped my birth control pill 4 months ago. I had been taking it for about 8 years. I am still not regular. I should know that even before taking the oral contraceptive I was not regular. My husband and I are starting to think about having a baby, but I know that there is a much better chance of getting pregnant if you are regular.

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question!
There is not much you can do on your own to make your cycle more "regular", especially since you mention that it was like that before you started birth control
Conceiving can take time, even in healthy young people. At your age, a trial of at least 6-12 months should be attempted before declaring failure. If this is the case, a medical evaluation may be necessary for you and your partner
I hope I have put your mind at ease and I am available if you have any further questions!
