I stopped my birth control pill 4 months ago. I had been taking it for about 8 years. I am still not regular. I should know that even before taking the oral contraceptive I was not regular. My husband and I are starting to think about having a baby, but I know that there is a much better chance of getting pregnant if you are regular.

At your age, a trial of at least 6-12 months should be attempted before declaring failure.
